Williamstown CNC Works can carry suitable design and CNC projects beyond loose machined parts through selected preparation, laminating, joinery, assembly, timber and composite work, hand-applied finishing and coordinated specialist trades.
Build It services are scoped around a defined project and normally support components designed, prepared or machined by Williamstown CNC Works.

CNC Production Can Stop at Loose Parts or Continue Into Workshop Work
Some projects are complete when the CNC-machined components are checked, grouped and ready for collection.
Others need additional work before they can be installed, assembled, displayed, sold or put into service.
Build It is the optional stage where agreed workshop services are added to a suitable CNC-led project. The scope may be as simple as sanding and organising components, or it may include laminating, joinery, assembly, hand finishing and coordination with external specialist trades.
Not every project needs Build It. The required level of completion is confirmed before the work proceeds.

Cut It produces the parts. Build It prepares, joins, assembles or finishes them into the agreed project outcome.

The project requires trial fitting, dry assembly or permanent assembly before handover.
External Trades Need to Be Coordinated
Steelwork, powder coating, 2K paint finishing or another external process is needed to complete the documented project.
Components Need Preparation
The CNC-machined parts require sanding, edge preparation, identification, grouping, inserts or other work before customer assembly.
Timber or Composite Work Is Involved
The project includes solid timber machining, curved work, epoxy, glass fibre or another specialist workshop process connected to the CNC components.
Parts Need Laminating or Joining
Separate layers, panels or components need to be bonded, clamped, joined or built into a thicker or more complete part.
A Specialist Finish Is Required
The components need surface preparation, routed-detail infill or a suitable hand-applied finish.

Solid timber machining, rough-sawn board breakdown, shaped timber parts, curved laminations and steam bending where appropriate.
Specialty Cabinetry and Enclosures
Custom consoles, boxes, enclosures and cabinetry where CNC machining, unusual geometry, specialist materials or detailed fabrication are central to the project.
Component Preparation
Sanding, edge preparation, component identification, grouping, trial fitting, inserts and preparation for customer assembly.
Hand-Applied Finishing
Surface preparation, oils, varnishes, clear finishes, hand-applied paint, epoxy coatings and routed or engraved detail infill.
Laminating, Joinery and Assembly
Gluing, clamping, layered components, specialist joints, curved laminations, trial assembly and permanent assembly where suitable.
Composite and Epoxy Work
Epoxy bonding, filling, coating, glass-fibre and composite work connected to suitable CNC, timber or marine projects.

Timber Signs and Routed Graphics
A timber sign may require CNC routing, sanding, painted infill and a hand-applied protective finish.
Sculptural and Three-Dimensional Work
A sculptural project may begin with 3D scanning and CAD development, continue through 3D CNC carving and finish with hand shaping, assembly and surface treatment.
These are examples of possible project pathways, not fixed service packages. Each project is reviewed and scoped around the required result.
Consoles, Enclosures and Specialty Cabinetry
A detailed enclosure may combine CNC-machined panels, edgebanding, specialist joinery, hardware, assembly and an externally applied 2K finish.
Marine, Timber and Composite Assemblies
A marine or specialist timber project may include CNC-cut components, solid timber, laminating, epoxy bonding, glass fibre, fitting and hand finishing.
Solid Timber and Board Preparation
Suitable projects may include rough-sawn board breakdown, solid timber machining, shaped components and material preparation connected to the documented build.
Laminating and Curved Work
Plywood, MDF, timber and composite layers can be laminated into thicker, curved or built-up components. Curved laminations and steam-bent timber may be considered where the design and material suit the process.
Specialist Joinery and Assembly
We can produce fitted joints, assembled components, specialty cabinetry, consoles and enclosures where the CNC geometry and workshop work are developed as one project.
Epoxy and Glass-Fibre Work
Our wooden boatbuilding and composite experience supports suitable epoxy bonding, laminating, filling, coating and glass-fibre work. WEST SYSTEM products may be used where appropriate to the agreed process.
WORKSHOP CAPABILITY
Experienced Timber, Joinery and Composite Work Applied Selectively
This capability is applied in support of suitable WCW projects. It is not offered as a general standalone joinery, cabinetmaking or composite-repair service.
Surface Preparation and Hand-Applied Finishes
Where finishing forms part of the agreed project, Williamstown CNC Works may provide:
Sanding and surface preparation
Oils and penetrating finishes
Varnishes and clear finishes
Hand-applied paint
Routed or engraved detail infill
Epoxy coatings
Finish preparation before external spraying
The material, required appearance, intended use and finish system must be confirmed before work begins. Samples or test areas may be recommended where appearance is important.
We do not provide in-house spray painting.
Projects requiring professional 2K or other sprayed finishes may be coordinated with an external finishing specialist and quoted separately.

Some projects need materials or processes that are better completed by another specialist trade.
Where suitable, Williamstown CNC Works can design compatible components and coordinate approved external services as part of the wider CNC-led project.

Other project-specific processes agreed before production
External services are separately quoted bolt-on project costs. Supplier pricing, technical requirements, transport and lead times are confirmed before the work proceeds.
External trade coordination is offered where it supports a suitable Williamstown CNC Works design, CAD or CNC production project. We do not operate as a general procurement service for unrelated work.
